That's the kind of habit you don't break easily; Han's a little annoyed, actually, to think of all the weapons he's lost, that this is all they've got left. There are small blasters like the one he gave Rey, bigger blast-rifles; a couple of huge ones that Chewbacca uses on occasion. Most fall somewhere in the middle, like the heavy one Han favors. There's one particularly small on set aside on a rock.
Right now Han is just watching, wondering if it's worth asking to borrow Chewie's bowcaster to take out some frustrations on the landscape. Probably not.
